When she was 19, she published her first single for her debut album Here. It was an instant hit which both the critics and admirers praised it. It ranked at number 19 on both the Billboard Hot 100 and the Canadian Hot 100. Even Rolling Stone named the song one of the Top Songs in 2015. That same year, she released Know It All. Scars to Your Beautiful is one of five songs she wrote that made it to the charts of Billboard. The track was distinctive because there were many who reacted to the interview she did with the rapper Rap-Up on her journey to find love and embrace her. Cara has earned a name for incorporating messages about the importance of mental health, kindness and self-love within her songs. All of it is a result of her personal experiences as she had to deal with issues of mental health and insomnia. In an interview with Reuters she stated that her album is "half turbulent" as well as "half perfected". She says she grew through therapy, and encourages other people to get help when necessary. Alessia Cara is a Canadian musician who was born July 11, 1996, to parents of Italian ethnicity. She was given a guitar by her parents when she became a teenager and it sparked her enthusiasm for music. After three years, at 13 years old, she began to record her own songs via YouTube one of the biggest media platforms to prove to the world she had the talents and the determination to be an artist. A cover of one of her songs, Sweater Weather, was the first thing that made her famous. EP Entertainment gave her the opportunity to create and record her own tracks.
